The market as a whole fell a huge 34.5% last year. It sounds a lot but it?s all relative, as other areas of the country fared just as badly if not worse. The average house price in Bonita Springs is currently $210,000, down from $335,000 from April 08. The number of real estate sales also fell by 16% in the same period.
To break it down a bit, the average real estate cost per square foot is now $144, down from $194. There are currently a little over eighteen hundred properties on the market in Bonita Springs, with an extra seven hundred in varying stages of foreclosure.
This trend is now slowly reversing, with sales and property values slowly clawing their way upwards again. As long as there are no big surprises or downfalls in the economy, this trend is expected to continue.
Let?s be honest, there are millions of people around the world who regard living in tropical loveliness by the coast to be the height of luxury. Despite the economy, the area and conditions haven?t changed. The sun still shines, the surf still breaks on white sandy beaches, and people are still going to want to live somewhere like that.
Eventually the market will bounce back and the property market will be as buoyant as it ever was.
