Open Houses
Open houses tend to be on the slightly higher price brackets of real estate for sale in Bonita Springs. There are currently fifteen open houses on the market right now ranging from $300,000 to a whopping $10,900.000!
Current open houses can be found quite readily on the internet in your area, in fact the information is made as readily available as possible to encourage people to visit. Often though the main benefactor of an open house is the realtor rather than the vendor. The realtor will often be questioned about what else they have on the market and gain contacts that way. This is one of the reasons they can be so keen to hold them.
The proliferation of internet listings, good quality photography and now 3 dimensional tours are relegating open houses to an option, rather than the requirement they used to be. According to the National Association of Realtors only 2% of properties have sold from open houses in the past two years. Compare that to the 77% sold through the internet, it shows the changing trends of homebuying.
Open houses are a valuable option if you have an outstanding or luxurious home you think could enthrall people better in real life than online. Generally though it is becoming accepted that they don?t really seem worth the time or effort. Most realtors now only provide this service if the vendors insists.
Not only is it an issue for some vendors who don?t want strangers wandering around their house with free access to their wares, but realtors are more and more concerned with security. There have been cases in the past of assault and even murder during one of these times.
There is a lot of work involved in organising one of these events too. The agent has to do a lot of marketing and canvassing to amass interest worthy of putting on the open house. Again it isn?t worth it in the minds of a lot of realtors, unless you have a ?have to see it to believe it house?.
